Dr. Sanket Diwanji started his practice in Surat as a first overseas fellowship trained joint replacement surgeon of South Gujarat.
After completing orthopaedic residency from M S University of Baroda, he did joint reconstruction fellowships in South Korea, Australia and Canada. His area of expertise includes, primary and revision hip and knee replacements, computer assisted knee replacements and partial knee replacements.
Dr. Sanket Diwanji got interested in partial knee replacement surgery during his fellowship in Canada. He did his first Oxford Partial Knee Course in 2012 and started performing partial knees.
He was then invited to Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital in Oxford UK, which is a world renowned centre for partial knee replacement surgery. He has delivered number of talks about partial knee and demonstrated this surgery to many young orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr. Diwanji did his medical graduation and post-graduate training in orthopaedic surgery from Medical College, Baroda affiliated to M S University of Baroda. He started his joint replacement training as a clinical assistant at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. Then he did dedicated hip surgery fellowship at Chonnam National University Hospital, Gwang Ju, South Korea. This was followed by knee surgery fellowship at Melbourne with Dr. John Bartlett. Then he went to Canada for fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto and Hospital Maisonneuve-Rosemont, Montreal, where he got extensive experience in revision joint replacement and computer assisted knee replacement surgery.
