Osteoarthritis knee in some case is due to deformity of lower limb.
If legs are bent inside, it is called Bow-leg or varus deformity and if legs are bent outside, it is called Knock knee or valgus deformity. High tibial osteotomy is a surgery to correct these deformity in order to prevent or treat arthritis in relatively young patients.
